How does it work?
A chip card is more difficult to replicate or counterfeit than cards with a magnetic stripe and provides better protection against card theft. Chip cards also ensure your purchase is instantly verified by your PIN or signature at the time of transaction. Best of all, you can use your card anywhere Visa is accepted. If a merchant is not EMV-capable, your transaction will be processed using the magnetic stripe on the back.
Insert the chip portion of the card into the terminal with the chip facing up and leave the card in the terminal until the transaction is complete.
Keep your card in the terminal and follow the prompts on the terminal’s screen.
Remove your card from the terminal when prompted and take your receipt.
