Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • Social Security number
  • Account balances, account transactions and transaction history
  • Employment information and income
  • Credit history, credit scores and payment history

When you are no longer our member, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

How?

All financial companies need to share members’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their members’ personal information; the reasons Henrico Federal Credit Union chooses to share; and whether you can limit this sharing.

What we do

How does Henrico Federal Credit Union protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

We only work with companies that maintain strong confidentiality protections, and we restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to only those employees who need to know that information.

How does Henrico Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • open an account or provide account information
  • make deposits or withdrawals from your account
  • use your credit or debit card
  • pay your bills
  • apply for a loan
  • give us your contact information or show us your driver’s license
  • give us your income or employment information

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can't I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Henrico Federal Credit Union does not share with our affiliates.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Henrico Federal Credit Union does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Other Important Information

We may request access or permission to certain features from your mobile device, including your mobile devices' (Bluetooth, calendar, camera, microphone, reminders, sensors, SMS messages, social media, storage, etc.) and other features. If you wish to change access or permissions, you may do so in your device settings. Requests to delete or close an account requires that you notify us one of the following ways: By mailing your request to: Henrico FCU, 9401 West Broad Street, Henrico, VA 23294, by emailing us at memberservices@henricofcu.org, or In person at one of our branches. Once your account is closed, you will no longer be able to access any information online about your account. Archived statements will be available for 7 years from the date of closure by written request to the credit union.
