We are currently seeking a Contact Center Member Service Specialist to assist members with a broad variety of member service functions through multiple delivery channels, including (but not limited to) opening accounts; actively cross-selling Credit Union services; answering members’ questions; and performing account maintenance. Attends to all member inquiries and transactions including processing deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. Provides exceptional service by processing members' financial transactions with accuracy and offering solutions to meet their financial needs. Positive and flexible attitude, enthusiasm for multi-tasking, and strong verbal communication skills are required.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of Credit Union products and services and a working knowledge of member service operations and procedures. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus. Candidate must enjoy communicating with people and demonstrated relationship-building skills. Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and with confidence are a must. Strong active listening skills. Able to promote the use of products and services in an open and friendly manner. Good analytical and financial skills, capable of making quality judgments. An active learner who understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. A great internal service commitment and ability to work well within a team-focused environment is also required. Courtesy, tact and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Candidate must have great attention to detail to perform a variety of tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
High school graduate (or equivalent) and at least two years of sales or service experience in a financial services environment [credit union preferred or a similar retail services environment]; previous call center experience is desired; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
